I only met mallorca once personally. I was obviously aware of his music but i knew him from the hashtag show. I was walking down buchanan Street and I saw him talking on the phone. I wasn’t sure it was him till I overheard him say “I also have a comedy podcast”. I circled back still unsure whether to say hi. I’m glad I did. We had some small talk and he asked me what I was up to. I told him I was killing time till I met my partner and we were going for our first scan for our now 3 year old. 

He walked with me right down from St Vincent Street, along argyll Street and we parted ways at the 4 corners. He gave me some pointers on becoming a dad and how great it is and we talked about the podcast and the next live show. 

He didn’t need to do any of that. He didn’t need to take time out of his day to talk to some guy he had never met, but it just goes to show what kind of person mallorca was. 

He was a gem of a guy and its a great loss to everyone and everything he had an involvement with.
