This is dreadfully sad. I very much enjoyed working with Alison in War Pensions. She went to enormous lengths to modernise the Chamber and improve its standards. We kept in touch during her first illness with frequent letters and a couple of visits. She was always very upbeat and positive. When I was a rival for the post of President of GRC she very generously took me out for lunch to brief me on the role. My condolences to her family and friends.
