Evelyn McDonald

I first met Evelyn when I joined the University in 2016. How can I describe her?…words won’t do justice, but I’ll have a go. Evelyn was a bundle of joy and humour, always ready with a quick witty remark and an immense walking catalogue of who’s who, where to go and as important, where and who not to go to. When I struggled with my time management and just agreeing to too many meetings, Evelyn was my saviour. She introduced me to ‘tidy up Friday’, which helped me a lot, and a practice I still do and always think of her when I do it. When I think of Evelyn, I remember her smile, her wacky (at times) dress sense, her chunky boots (which i coveted) and her energy, also as a safe place to go to when I needed help. I’m sure Evelyn touched many lives, and I can honestly say, she had, and still has a massive positive impact on mine and I’m glad to have known her. My thoughts and best wishes are with her family and friends.
