Marion really was one of a kind. Not only an incredible support for her pupils, but also for their parents! She was always keeping us right when we forgot things or had questions or missed letters etc and she was always so gracious about it, even though I’m sure it must have been really frustrating.
She loved on my girls so well. Both of them have had times when what they were doing in class was too much for them, emotionally, and they were both made to feel so welcome with Mrs Milne in the office.
One had to be off school for a couple of weeks for an op and Marion sent her a lovely wee pack, with a card, a colouring book, and more than anything, just the knowledge that Mrs Milne was thinking of her.
She really embodied the heart of Nether Currie and I can’t imagine what it will be like without her, but she has been a big part of making it the wonderful, nurturing, caring place that it is.
We are so grateful for Marion having been part of our lives and we will never forget her.
