Dear David,
Not that long ago, we were sitting in a small meeting room in More London. You were behind me, out of my line of site, as it is customary in these situations. The last question: Who is your role model? I answered. You thought it was good one. Now, for the record, I must go back and change it. My role model is David Latief.
I’m changing my answer not because you were a brilliant leader and a great man, but because you have taught me, and all of us, that there is nothing more important in life, than living every moment by one’s values. Your generosity and empathy have helped me overcome some of the hardest times I’ve encountered to date. I can’t think of a better way to repay what I owe you, than to follow your guidance and attempt to stay true to the virtues that meant so much to you. That is why I’m changing my answer.
With eternal gratitude, yours,
Greg Hari
