Sarah Draper

Who knew when you and I first shared an office at Royal Derby Hospital that we would become more than colleagues but would share a precious and special friendship.  Your practical,  insightful approach to life and you ability to understand people and what made them act in certain ways was remarkable.  It has always been so easy to share with you thoughts and emotions that couldn’t be aired with others, your wise advice gently offered would get straight to the solution. It seemed to surprise you that others couldn’t see as clearly as you what needed to be done, but to me it was wonderous and the answer seemed obvious once you had described the actions to be taken.

I can’t thank you enough for your friendship,  wisdom and generosity of spirit. I feel that I have been blessed because I have known you, enjoyed your company and shared time with you.

Taking over the care of your girls, Mabel and Agnes has been a great honour.  I know that it wasn’t easy to let them go but you saw them win my heart and charm their way into becoming part of our family and I know that made you confident that they would be well cared for. They will always be your dogs Sarah but I promise to look after them and love them for you (and for themselves).

I watched you become a mummy to Dom with admiration and delight. Seeing the love and joy he brought and how you gave everything of yourself to him has been incredible. The two of you were made for each other and you have given him such a wonderful start to his life, secure and loved he has blossomed.

You are woven into my heart Sarah, and there you will stay for ever. X

Grace
