Bernard, you touched the lives of so many and will be sorely missed.  It was a privilege to have worked for, and with you, at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement being there from the beginning.  You were a leader with the highest level of integrity, professionalism and humanity.  Even through tough times you always kept your cool, level head, dignity and compassion for others.  Your infectious sense of humour, stamina, clarity of thought and vision took all of us with you and I feel 100% blessed to have known you both at the Institute and after its closure.  A truly remarkable man in every sense.  Bless you and RIP.
