Dear Susana, 

I cannot believe that you are not with us anymore. It took me a while to write this message, I could not accept this was real.

You were one of the kindest people I ever met, and I deeply appreciated the chance to get to know you, alongside working with you and learning from you. I will always remember our laughs about the difficulties of being a working mother, the challenges of daily family life, your wishes to pursure a PhD and our discussions about a possible topic, your enthusiasm about this new wish. You made the world a better place and now it will be worse without you.

I will miss you deeply, and I am close to your family, whom I have never met but feel like I have, based on your tales. I will come and visit you in Lisbon, I promise.
