Dear Sarah,

Gone but never forgotten. You touched the lives of so many people and I will always have a place for you in my heart.

The night we hit it off and our friendship began was at a charity event in Idle. We were the last ones standing and somehow(?!) ended up in a bitching session about the length of some random woman’s handbag strap. The shy and quiet Office Junior that I knew in work had an awesome sense of humour and our friendship grew from there.

Our Friday nights became cinema night with Crazy Ry and Jason and there was always a debate between you and Ryan about whose turn it was to pick a film.

We had two of the best holidays of my life, New York and Vegas and many trips to London and Aberdeen. You were like my personal tour guide, always knowing the best places to go and knew your way around like the back of your hand. I never worried about getting lost when I was with you and admired you so much for your sense of direction.

We loved the theatre and seeing live music and had many trips to the Alhambra. We had some fantastic times and nights out together.

You helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life and gave the best advice of all, “let’s sew kippers into the seams of his curtains, the smell will be vile and he’ll spend weeks trying to figure out where it’s coming from”. We didn’t of course but had many laughs planning it!

You introduced me to Grey’s Anatomy and had me calling at KFC on a Sunday morning as soon as it opened for our Grey’s binge watching days.

Sadly over the last few years we lost touch and I deeply regret that now, some of the most special times of my life were spent with you and I am truly grateful for the friendship and many, many laughs that we had. Thank you for everything you did for me, you will never know how much you meant to me.

RIP Sarah, taken far too soon and I can only imagine heaven was short of an angel on the day they took you. Until we meet again, enjoy the party in the sky.

Thinking of your wonderful family at this sad time and sending them all my love xxx
