Nick Short

I was so incredibly saddened to here about the loss of Nick and my thoughts are with his family. I find myself at a loss for words but at the same time feel incredibly priveleged to have had the opportunity to work with him on numerous projects both while at the RVC and since graduation, including WikiVet and WikiVet LIVE! as well as OVAM where we went on a particularly memorable whistlestop tour of UK vet schools as part of the project. The opportunities he gave me through these projects were very influential in opening my eyes to the opportunities available to me outside clinical practice and I will be forever grateful to him. He was so positive and full of ideas for every project that we worked on and conveyed his enthusiasm and passion to all, often being well ahead of the times in terms of his ideas in the veterinary education field, not forgetting his commitment to helping students in less privileged countries. At a personal level he was incredibly kind and always had time for everyone with a lovely smile on his face and he will be so very much missed.
