I first met Paul in 1989 whilst attending the Pupils Course. Throughout my career our paths have always crossed, whether on one of the various couses run by Kneller Hall or as part of the HQ RCAM staff from 2013 onwards. Paul always gave people the time of day and was always prepared to offer a common sense solution to any problems as well as talking truth to power. When I commissioned in to a QM role, Paul was always on hand to offer help and guidance which I will always be eternally grateful for. He really was the ultimate gentleman.
Paul you will be sorely missed but your legacy will continue with all of us who were priviledge to have worked and played music alongside you. RIP and Stand Easy, your duty is now done.
