Janet has been a great support to myself and my collegaues in TFTI for most of the department’s history. I very much enjoyed the human side of working with Janet, our periodic catch up meetings invariably over-ran as, having dealt with the business, we inevitably got into talking – and laughing – about lots of other things. It is these kind of human connections that are so precious and help us deal with the more challenging aspects of work. These wonderful personal qualities make Janet’s loss all the more sad and hard to bear. My deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends. It was a pleasure and a privilege to know her and she will be sorely missed. Duncan.
