More than 10years ago Dr Chandy interviewed me for my first job as a newly qualified GP. I joined the (then Shinwell) family and the rest is history.
We worked together for many years and he was an important part of my life.
He was almost always calm, patient and almost always seemed to be a good mood. He had the energy and vigour of a man 20years younger and often wondered if he would run forever fueled by b12 – but when he finally retired he had certainly earnt it.
He always worked hard, always did his fair share of the work and often half of everyone else’s!
I recently looked over photos of him holding my babies (now aged 5 and 12!) and felt so many emotions I really don’t know what to say – but above all a profound fondness for him outweighed the sadness of his passing.
He will be missed.
