We have been privileged and honoured to have known David and Dori since we arrived here. From the onset David was a source of wisdom and inspiration. He had the remarkable knack of bringing peace and calm into any situation, and we have often just gone to sit with him for this very reason – to experience the fatherly insight and godly counsel from a man who lived his life for the glory of his precious Jesu. We will miss these times and so much more – the mischievous twinkle in the eye, the rich knowledge of the word and his childlike sense of wonder and awe. His speech was soaked in the love of God – he spoke from that place of being a friend of God, and we always left his presence feeling wiser, stronger and enriched. Some of his last words to us were, “I visited a lot of books in my life but I lived in the Bible.” Thank you David for loving us and caring about us, for trusting us and respecting us, for being an example of how a God-fearing man should live and pass over into his eternal home. You have surely patterned it well! We look forward to seeing you soon.
