I am honoured to have called David my friend. I first met him when Phill brought him home to our house for dinner one day back in the early 80’s. All Phill talked about was his friend “Snit” who had a dream of building a Drag racing car, using a Mark 1 Ford Escort van to customise into one. Off we went to the scrap yard and  came away with an unassuming little grey one – “That’ll be perfect” beamed Dave x.   I watched in awe at the remarkable transformation in which Dave created “Snitterbeast”.

Dave assigned me as the “official film maker” and set me tasks as to what he wanted footage of during each run so the footage could be analysed in order to improve speed, launch and scrutinised by the crew.

I have so many photos and videos to share and will send them to his family.

Dave was the sweetest and gentle person I have ever met and I know he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
