I had the pleasure of working with James at Archbishop Ilsley. He was a very popular teacher, who was highly respected by all the students and staff, forming many friendships along the way. James thoroughly involved himself in every aspect of the school and for sure never did anything by half measures, fully contributing to everthing he participated in. We shared many an in-depth conversation about education, politics and life. His intelligence, wit and knowledge added another dimension to any exchange. Most importantly he was a man of integrity, living by his own rules and standards. He was also very good on the dance floor. I am so sad to hear the loss, for all his family and friends, we will all miss him.
