Nathan Davies
What can you say about Nath, small in stature but had enormous personality and under that armour of a hardened Paratrooper was a kind heart and a man that would do anything for anyone. My first memory of Nath was when he arrived at 29 and was initially put onto the Commando Training Wing at Okehampton camp, obviously to utilize his plethora of skills. After some shenanigans on the moors we came back to the cottage late one night and poor old Nath didn’t have a bed, so he said he would get his head down on the couch. The next morning I went to wake him (and I wish I had taken a photo) I found this Paratrooper who decided not to use the sleeping bag provided for him, and instead found him on the couch, still wearing his para smock but more impressively still wearing his scrim scarf fully intact and rigid as he lay fast asleep. Nath brought a great skill set to 29, he was a great mentor on the ranges and fitted in with everyone straight away.
Kathy, Freddy, Lara and Mollie my huge condolences, I cant imagine how you all feel, but rest assured Nath was an absolute diamond and will be sorely missed by so many. Rest in peace my friend.
