I first met Joe when he took over his role at SAFed in 2015. From the very start, he brought an energy, openness, and sense of purpose that transformed the committee. Where meetings had once been cautious and guarded, Joe broke down barriers and made TC4 a truly collaborative, friendly, and meaningful forum often with a mischievous grin and a sharp joke thrown in.
I feel incredibly privileged to have worked closely with him, and to have benefited from his support, guidance, and encouragement over the years. His faith in me and belief in what we could achieve together made a real difference not just for me, but for the whole committee.
Joe was more than a colleague; he was a proud British gentleman, someone who always knew how to enjoy a good pint. I will fondly remember our post-meeting “beefs” over a beer, his brilliant storytelling, his sharp mind, and his spirit. His passing is a huge loss, and he will be sorely missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
