James Hart
I remember the early courting days well, when Jules met James and I could tell she was utterly charmed by him – it was difficult not to be charmed by such a dynamic, sociable and handsome man! Jules and I worked together for an events company and a year or so later, I introduced them to my own special man, Keith, and I was chuffed when they warmly gave him their thumbs up and joined us for our wedding in Scotland. They were friends whose judgement and advice mattered. Over the last 32 years we have had the pleasure of their wonderful company, whether visiting them at their impeccable homes, Hartsmeon and La Girouette, or us hosting them in Esher and then the New Forest. Just this summer, they came over for our anniversary party and we were thrilled at the prospect of them moving back to the UK. They recently reminisced how they first met at a function and Jules played it cool and refused to give him her number, but James wheedled it out from her friend instead – not me I might add! He was always driven to get the ‘intel’. He was also driven to help people when they needed it most. With the special skills he acquired through his impressive career, he was someone you could turn to for specific advice and he was always ready to give it, tenfold. A generous Hart indeed… and we are very thankful and privileged to have known him. Dearest James, Keith and I shall miss you so very much and our heart-felt wishes go to your true love, Jules and wonderful boys, Andrew and Stephen, and their families at this very sad time.
