Sarah Hunt

I’m crushed to learn of Sarah’s untimely passing.

Sarah was a guiding light at Audiosocket, tirelessly advocating for every artist she worked with. I was fortunate to experience her unwavering passion for independent artists when I became part of the Audiosocket family. In the often turbulent world of music, she was a beacon of stability and support. Her advocacy was instrumental in helping me earn a living through my music. Sarah’s generosity extended beyond professional boundaries; she welcomed me into her home, offering a couch to crash on during my visits to Seattle. She was my go-to for honest feedback, supporting every aspect of my work. Her presence at my first solo show in Seattle, a performance I humorously remember as a flop, was a testament to her unwavering support.

Sarah’s influence on my music and career is immeasurable. When she visited Austin for SXSW in 2014, she offered me a pivotal piece of advice: “Chris, you need to finish your album, this is your time.” She believed in my potential, even more than I did at times, and her encouragement was the catalyst I needed to complete my record. Without her belief in me, I might never have realized a dream that I had worked so long to achieve.

I extend my deepest condolences to Sarah’s partner, family, friends, and colleagues. Sarah, your kindness, dedication, and nurturing spirit have left an indelible mark on my life and work. In your memory, I promise to pay forward the same care and support you’ve shown me.
