Steve Alexander

I only got to work with Steve for around a year since the acquisition, but I think that speaks volumes of the man himself that his passing has had such a big impact, not just in PayPoint but with his HP & MR colleagues who had the pleasure of working with him.

Like so many others have said, Steve was just a good guy, through and through. There were no airs and graces with him, and he greeted everyone with an infectious smile and you always left any conversation with him feeling great. When we started working together, we had a weekly catch up at 3.30pm on a Friday- we rarely spoke about work, instead preferring to share our football tips and holiday plans!! After Christmas we moved these to a Monday and Steve always said that he hated speaking to me on a Monday as usually our chats signalled the start of the weekend.

He was undoubtedly a family man and loved his life with Sharon and Poppy. I could see the cheeky lad side of him when he talked about Chelsea and his mates, I bet he had some right stories to tell!

They always say that the good ones are taken too soon, and this is never more true than for Steve. Here’s to him, and to his family. You will be very sadly missed matey xxx
