Olivia Ansell: 1991 to 2025

As an Associate trainer, Olivia was central to my life with OEE / GoBeyond right from the start. As others have said, she was incredibly organised, super-efficient and inspired huge confidence in everyone who had any dealings with her.

I remember at my interview, one of the questions Olivia asked me was what I would do if I turned up at a training venue and the training materials had not arrived. I’m sure it was a deliberate test that I then had to put my answer into practice a couple of trainings in! However, the cool, calm Olivia sorted everything out incredibly quickly and normal service resumed by lunchtime. I would not have wanted to be the courier on the other end of the phone, though.

On a separate occasion, I returned the surplus M&Ms from training in the training box, unfortunately forgetting to seal the bag. Olivia merely mentioned that the couriers must have upset the box for the training materials to be covered in bits of M&Ms!

I can’t believe that Olivia has gone. It’s a horrendous illness to go through and I’m sure she faced it with her usual grit and determination. I’m just so sorry that she lost her battle far too soon. Jason, my thoughts are with you and the girls – please know that when Olivia spoke about you all, it was with obvious love and tenderness, and you meant the world to her.
