It is with much sadness that I learned of the passing of His Excellency Sir Edmund Wickham Lawrence GCMG KCMG OBE CSM JP.

Sir Edmund will be fondly remembered for his lifelong dedication to his country and people, especially his distinguished work in economics and his honourable leadership as Governor-General of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

On behalf of the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam, I extend my deepest condolences to Your Excellency, and to the Government and people of Saint Kitts and Nevis on this great loss. Our thoughts are with you during this period of grief.
