**BP to update**

I first met Michael when he applied to join Rolls-Royce Solutions UK (then mtu UK). Despite the fact that he had no relevant experience, apart from a love of cars and engines, Michael somehow persuaded me to offer him the job of Key Account Manager.  It ended up being one of the best decisions of my life & the start of a great friendship.  We recruited Michael to take care of our longstanding yacht customer, Sunseeker.  It didn’t take Michael long to charm Sunseeker in the same way that he charmed his colleagues at mtu UK.  Within a matter of weeks Michael (or ‘no worries’ as he affectionately became known) became an adopted member of the extended Sunseeker family, known & liked by everyone from the shopfloor of the shipyard to the office of the owner & founder, Robert Braithwaite CBE.  Michael epitomised the mantra of ‘work hard, play hard’ and redefined the concept of Key Account Management.  The magnetic force of his personality meant he quickly became a firm favourite at the boat shows & amongst the international community of Sunseeker distributors.

It has been commented that Michael managed to squeeze multiple lives into his short 49 years.  He always lived life to the full and on his terms.  Personally, I was always in awe of his ability to light up a room with his boundless energy and irrepressible smile.  It was impossible not to be touched by Michael’s sheer enthusiasm for life. This is how I will remember him.  Rest in peace my friend.
