While I was never taught by Mr Fell in chemistry (excepting a few cover lessons) I will always remember how he encouraged and supported all of us who took part in the duke of Edinburgh scheme.He was a jovial and kind man who offered help and guidance not just in the chemistry lab but everywhere he went. Although I do remember when guiding prospective students around the school during open days to always make sure that we dropped by the chemistry lab to see one of his demonstrations. He didn’t just teach chemistry he made it a wonder to behold. I wish his family all the very best and offer my condolences during this difficult and dreadful time. Mr Fell will be truly missed by all of us who had the priviledge of knowing him.
