As many others have said, Eilis was a wonderful, talented and inspiring academic, as well as a warm, funny and compassionate woman. Even though I didnt know Eilis for very long, I felt lucky to have known her at all and learned so much from her – I will always be grateful for her guidance, ‘no nonsence’ approach, and passion for her field of expertise.  At a personal level, she always talked about Roisin, Yasmin and Ciaran – her pride in her children was clear to be seen – and words dont even come close to the devastation for her family at her loss. Kader, Roisin, Yasmin and Ciaran – the road ahead will not be easy, but hopefully th sentiments of everyone here will be of some comfort. Anne
