I valued Sue as a trusted colleague with a good sense of humour and great integrity. However, I didn’t know anything about her theatrical life until I saw her on stage at the King’s Theatre as Barbara Castle in ‘Made in Dagenham’ by the Portsmouth Players. She was absolutely phenomenal! Suddenly she wasn’t only a colleague but also a star – what a talented individual. It was an honour to have known her.
