As the outpouring of love and affection for Amer has shown he wasn’t just a wonderful colleague, but also a wonderful friend to so many people. His commitment to Kantar has been astonishing over the 31 years he worked for us in many different teams. He was hard working and diligent, always ensuring the clients he worked with were delighted with his service. For me though it is far more what he contributed above and beyond his day job that makes him truly stand out and highlights the type of individual he was. He was passionate about the I&D space which is where he and I had the most contact. I remember him taking me through important work he had done with the WPP Roots network and me sensing both the depth of understanding he had for the area and the passion he had for driving change. He was a true ambassador in this area, unafraid to share his thoughts both internally and externally. The other contribution he made though was in the care he always showed for others. From checking in on people and asking how they were, to gestures like buying water for colleagues on business trips unrequested. He was someone that was centred on other people and as a result those people lucky enough to spend time with him enjoyed deep and enduring connections. Life is truly hard to comprehend at times and this will be my lasting thought about Amer’s untimely passing. A wonderful man, taken away from us all far, far too soon. Thank you for the impact you made on so many people Amer and rest in peace.
