Sylvia and I worked closely and spoke almost every day during the last year. She was immensely professional, but always warm-hearted and smiling. She was especially good at building connection and raising others up.
Over the last months she travelled her cancer journey with grace and positivity. Her passing was a great shock; I am saddened that we have no more times to chat and share the journey of being women working in a predominantly male profession.
To her family, my heart aches for your loss. I am having Mass offered for her in my parish in Yorkshire.
“In the Lord’s own house shall I dwell, for ever and ever”.
