Olori Bolanle Aworetan - Omojuwa Kayode

Olori Aunty Bee as I usually call you and can still hear you replying with Iya Samu (Samuel’s mum)

Right from when I met you when I visited my elder sister at OSUA University in 1998, your radiating, beaming smile and kind nature have been consistent. Since then, you have been supportive and taken me as your own younger sister. I will ever be grateful for all your assistance and guidance particularly when I had my son and daughter and knew virtually nothing about motherhood. You were my go-to person for advice, information and tips and you will answer my calls at whatever time of the day. Can still hear those special songs that you sang for your children and mine using their personal names such as – ‘this little light of Samuel’.

Most remarkable were your words of wisdom and guidance that helped me navigate a major incident in my life. You stood by me, gave the right advice and helped get a resolution over the matter despite going through similar challenging experience as well.

I have cried many tears since I heard of your demise but encouraged by the word of God that you are in a better place, away from the pains and sorrows of this world and by His grace will rise again with Christ in glory. We will continue to celebrate and honour your life and the great, fun moments we shared together, while you continue resting in the bosom of God.

Although it’s really difficult to say – Farewell Olori Aunty Bee
