Saad, it has been an absolute pleasure to have both worked with you and known you. Lots of laughs, lots of fun and also a man from who I learnt so much. A fantastic man and an amazing officer who would always support his friends and colleagues with your vast experience – having seen and done so much in life. So sad you have gone, but so grateful to have known you.  …

Saad, words fail me as I am still trying to come to terms with the sad news of your passing. I only found out yesterday.  Rest in peace, and love and condolences to your family, friends and colleagues. The memories of your friendship will live forever. Thank you. Miriam Freeman …

Saad What a loss to us all. Your passing was such a shock to me. You had a heart of gold, but only showed your soft side to those that you respected. I know you had fun taking the mickey out of my French language skills, but were thoughtful enough to help me learn. You are missed greatly by us all. I hope you are now enjoying a big mug of coffee along with the ‘ciggies’ you so valiantly gave up. Much love …

I still can’t quite believe it, hearing you’d left us came as such a shock. Thank you for everything, your help, advice, candour and friendship all meant the world to me and you will be truly missed. Trips to Brugge and elsewhere will not be the same and I look back on the times we had with very fond memories. I’m so sorry for your family and wish them the strength to continue as I know you’d have wanted. Words seem so inadequate but I hope and pray that you find peace and one day, I’m sure, we’ll drink together in Valhalla my dear friend Jason      …

Thanks for all the support you gave me, and professionalism you showed over the years – you contributed so much to the team here and across Europe. You had such a wit and enthusiasm for the work you did which was truly awe-inspiring and made such a difference. Such a lovely man, it was a great to work with you – you will be sadly missed, and very hard to replace. …

Goodbye Saad.,… I just got the sad news and I still can’t believe it.  I have a wonderful memory of you, you were a very nice person and always brought a breath of cheer even on the darkest and most difficult days. You were a hard worker, you knew how to empathise with everyone and your interviews were wonderful. I am sad and like me all those who knew you in Lampedusa, it was a difficult but beautiful time. We will have a coffee in heaven or somewhere else and laugh and think back to the good times we had together. There are no words to console your family, just a hug. Goodbye Saad, my friend   …

Saad, Thanks so much for your friendship and support. I will miss you and the reminiscing on the time we had overseas.  We had such a great time in Lampedusa, it was extremely busy but you made it extremely funny. You took the edge off the difficult time it was for me being away from my young family for such a long time. I learnt a great deal from you on that tour, you certainly influenced me and trained me from my first interview to my last.  Your overseas friends will miss you too, Adil, Susana, David, Giuseppe, Domenico all send their deepest sympathy to your family.  Goldy (Mark) …

Saad, we spent many a time working together as colleagues both in the UK and overseas, your passion for the job was evident for all to see, you bought so much to the team, your knowledge and experience has helped so many others and they will ensure your legacy goes on. I still recall the experiences with you in Greece quite often and every time I smile when I think about our deployments. You certainly were one of a kind and we will all carry joyful memories of our shared time with you. Rest in peace my friend. Mick …

Saad, it was such a pleasure to have known you and worked alongside you. A genuinely sweet and caring person beneath a fiery and no-nonsense exterior. You will be greatly missed by many and your legacy never forgotten. …
