Where do I start…I meet Paul in a hotel lobby in 2011.  He was introduced to me as the Relocation king, just sold his business, deals in property too and a friend of mine was pulling together a deal to save the UK’s largest nightclub company.   Nice coffee good chat, but surely he will not win the race to buy the business from the administrator…..I didn’t know him back then.  He did of course, and we started our journey together.  Early on I realised he was not your usual investor.  He ‘got’ people-I mean he really understood people, motivation, and was tirelessly committed to an industry he was new to.  We worked together for nine years, spoke nearly every day, sometimes three or four times a day.  He came to nearly all our openings, all our major events, and by this time had restarted in Relocation too.  Everybody he met commented on his modesty and the fact he was ‘real’ and loved the fact he would take the time to speak to everybody.  And the truth is without him the nightclub business would not have been saved, which is why it is so tragic that the government effectively…

I have fond memories of Paul.  A kind, generous, funny and all round lovely man.  I loved my time working at Trans Euro. They were the best days in the moving industry under his leadership. Years on, we still kept in touch and I always looked forward to the very amusing Christmas card that arrived every year!! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to Charlie, India, Roz and all the family. X    …

Paul was an impressive man. He was fun, quick, intelligent and a very talented business man. Our friendship began at the FIDI conference in Berlin, when he proposed me as a member to the Mongoose Club. 2014 I left the moving industry but stayed in touch with Paul privately by phone and email. He could express himself very well in written and I really enjoyed exchanging emails with him. RIP Paul.  …

We met Paul in the early 70’s when he was young and poor, incredibly ambitious with a diabolical sense of humour. No longer young and poor he kept his diabolical sense of humour and remained incredibly ambitious. Despite his many health problems his energy levels never waned. He was a one off, the most irritating but lovable person, he will leave a huge gap….

This was what Paul used to call me even though I was born in England and it was a running joke between us. I have known and done work for Paul for over 15 years and he was one of my best customers to work for except at the end when we went through the bill and it would always end up with him applying his “discount ” or we would toss a coin for the odd £50 or so. I never did win but it would make us laugh. Also he was the worst tea maker as one time he made me a cup of green tea with almond milk,it was awful and after that I never let him make me another. I don’t know if that was his ploy but if so,it worked. At Christmas time we got into a routine where I would get  him  his Christmas tree and he was always very appreciative. It will be things like that I’m going to miss doing for him.His humour was fantastic and he could take a joke as well as give one out.My thoughts are with Charlie and India at this time but I must say this to you,you had…

My thoughts go out to the whole family at this very sad time. I owe so much to Paul through  his genorosity, vision, leadership, deal making and of course his very own brand of humour. What a guy, I miss him but cherish my last conversation with him on Christmas Eve, a time of year that he loved. I look forward to seeing him upstairs sometime in the future. RIP sunshine. …

I’m the nurse of Paulie in the hosp. I took care of him in the hosp. and at home. I felt sad to lost a great person with a nice heart and kindness to everyone. I found him amazing person with a great character. He is very cheerful, very approachable, very energetic person he loves work especially after he recovery he miss his friend with his communication with his colleagues and his family embrace. Especially when he is in the hosp he wants to recover quick to see everyone. It’s now time for him to take some rest in peace and he will raise again in the coming of Christ. I will pray for his  soul in heaven. My warmest Condolences to India, Charlie and all his family.   Hug&Kisses😘🤗 Anna Rose …

One of the things I loved most about Paul was his quick wit, and the ability to find humour in most situations.  He loved a practical joke, and over the years there have been many stories of his wind ups and the odd one successfully pulled off at his expense ! Paul always had time for everyone, regardless of how busy he was.  I have so many great memories of him from my time at Trans Euro and the AGM Group.   He was and still is a “legend”, and hugely respected by all that knew him.  Our world will be a much duller place without him in it. My heartfelt condolences go out to India and Charlie, and all his family. He will never be forgotten; we will hold his memory in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace Paulie  Cocky xxxx    …

Guess what… I finally got Georgie to remove that bloody Harley motorbike from the front room!!! I love how excited you were to tell everyone we shared the same birthday.. or that we both had 3 kidneys!! You really were one of a kind and you showed everyone that age really is just a number. I’m so grateful that we got to work together. Sleep tight Paulie – you really will be missed xx P.S – I’ll get back to my spelling lessons now……
