Neil was such a genuinely lovely person with a warm personality, very witty and charming. He had a great sense of humour but was also empathetic to those around him. Had the pleasure of knowing Neil since the early 1990’s through our days at City Hosp and kept in contact in one way or another since, whether it be for WBA comments on social media or the odd meeting at a hospital appointment. I recall when my husband first met Neil as it was when he fitted my house alarm – acquaintances ever since ( ever talented our Neil).  You’ve been a good friend Neil and even took our silly prank secret to your grave, thank you for that.   Say hi to big Cyrille from us baggies fans.  May you rest in peace. Neil…..a truly selfless, funny, kind, caring, patient and much loved gent. First met you in 1996 at City hospital, you were so kind and helpful, it was my first day at work, I was nervous, shy and didn’t know a soul but I just remember you calmly chatting to me and I soon became very welcome in ‘the city hospital family’ with some wonderful friends.
