In Memory of

Melissa

Melissa Hall

Dear John, Eleanor and Noah

Melissa was a truly special person; as you say one in a million.

She was my shining star.

You will see from the messages from her colleagues and friends that she was an inspiration to so many people.

She was always so optimistic – who else would describe Monday mornings as a clean page for a new week and new opportunities.

When others wanted to give up, she would be the beacon of hope – gently guiding and encouraging her colleagues in the right direction. Her determination to make things better for patients generating a positivity that gave her colleagues the confidence to have a go.

She was generous with her time, although not so with her tea bags. We each have our personal memories of time we spent with Melissa, but the memory we all share will always be of her elegance, loveliness, and kindness.

We hope you find our messages a source of comfort, you are and will always be in our thoughts.

Take care of each other

Melissa… I still can’t believe you’ve been taken far too soon but you have definitely left an impression that will stay with us forever.  I can remember collecting you from Reception for your interview at LWCCG and thought as we walked along the corridor ‘what a nice lady’.  It has been a pleasure working with you over the years, through the good and the sometime, stressy times.  You kept your sense of humour and your sense of calm and got the job done, always.  The work you have done with Frailty has been amazing, your hardwork, commitment and drive.  Your legacy will continue.  My love and thoughts are with your family at this time.  Rest well twinkle, you will be missed and never forgotten.  Lots of love Lels xxx …

Seeing Melissa’s photo fiiled me with such sorrow that this wonderful and kind hearted soul has left us too soon. Then a thoughful smile recounting the years working together with a well respected colleague. While all around was chaos, Melissa was always the voice of reason and calm in a project “storm”. A real pleasure working with someone so decicated and professional, an example to us all. Even the hourlyu cuppa had to be a certain strength and as a result over squeezing the tea bags I still have skin missing from the end of my fingers! Rest in peace Melissa, you will always be in my thoughts. Deepest Condolences to the family xx …
