Most people are good, genuine, and decent folk. However, it can take a bit of time for us to be sure. We are naturally guarded with our trust – usually until it has been earned. Sometimes, even with people we have known for a considerable time, there is still a shadow of doubt. Then there is Joe. From the very first instant you meet Joe, you just know this is a person of calibre. Honest, reliable, supportive, and truly caring. Someone who would always do his best never to let anyone down. Throughout the years, not once did this first impression ever wane, falter, or be called into doubt. I have never heard anyone speak ill of Joe or bring into question his character. How many of us wish we could ever be held in such high regard. The saddest of loss….

It was incredibly sad to hear of Joe’s passing. When I think of Joe, I think of a warm, loving and caring man who always thought of others before himself. He truly cared for those around him and always had a smile on his face. His level of caring, patience and support to others mean that he will be greatly missed and is a role model that we can all aspire to be. I will think of him calling me “Mr Drummond” and always there for a chat and advice. He was a loving husband and father and my deepest condolences go to Lauren and her family. Love Tony  …

Dear Joe You have been like a rock to me over the years. I have written your PDR numerous times and never in my wildest of dreams would I have imagined that I would be writing this. It breaks my heart. No amount of words can express my gratitude for all the wonderful things that you did to make my life easy over the years. I valued all your advice and expertise and I learned so much about CSL because of your patience in explaining things to me in laymans terms. We always used to joke when I asked the same old questions again and again but you always treated me kindly and with patience. There is a reason why people know you to be a legend, that reputation did not come by itself. It’s not just your knowledge but its the person you were which people, myself included, will remember you for. Your thoughtfulness and compassion are just a few of the wonderful qualities you had in abundance. You were a truly one of kind and I will miss you so much. My deepest condolences to Lauren & the whole family as well as the CSL family who…

A true gentleman. Joe had a smile that would make me feel welcomed every time I saw him and regardless of how busy he was he the ability to juggle a phone and work that needed doing while checking to make sure you were ok. Was always there when I needed him, and nothing was ever too much work. Can still hear him say Sal, Sal at the start of every conversation which made me feel I was in safe hands. Joe will be missed by everyone who knew him….

What a huge loss this is. What a guy Joe was, having worked alongside Joe for many years i can honestly say Joe was one of the best.  His no nonsense approach and can do attitude made him the go to man and eased the pressure on others.
