Our hearts and heavy and saddened at the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. On behalf of Mothers’ Union members of the Worldwide Mothers’ Union Zone B (South America, West Indies, USA and Canada) we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and to all who mourn her passing. Queen Elizabeth was the epitome of a leader and a woman of faith. She ruled with dignity; she wore her faith in quiet humility, sharing her faith regularly in her addresses and to those with whom she came in contact. She loved her family and her country dearly, as well as the people of the Commonwealth whom she visited may times over her 70 year reign. She clearly walked the walk and talked the talk and was a true disciple of Christ. May she rest in peace and rise in glory….

I was honoured to have nearly been pushed into your lap in the press during your visit to Malta following your coronation: I was even more honoured to have been invited to one of your garden parties. Your joy, colour and smile will be missed by all, but particularly by your family. My heartfelt condolences go to our new King. May he feel the support of God and the nation in his grief while he takes up his vocation of sovereignty, and may all the royal family know the comfort of knowing that the Queen is now at peace with her God and her beloved husband after many years of devoted service.
