In Memory of

Diane Doe

Diane had worked at HSBC for nearly forty years and had made many friends across the organisation in this time. She was a highly respected colleague and friend for many at HSBC and she leaves a significant gap. The support she has provided to many of the HSBC colleagues has been outstanding and her integrity, loyalty and kind nature were hallmarks of her both as a person and colleague.

I am deeply shocked and saddened by the news of Diane’s passing, she was a highly valued colleague who was wise, witty and generous with her guidance. She was an amazing woman whose drive and and energy made her successful not only at work, but more importantly as a mother who is dearly loved by her family and friends. A bright light has gone out, and Diane will missed, but not be forgotten. Agnes…

Menorca Holidays I wrote a little poem to remember you today Diane Doe and the sun shone in Menorca that day The day spent by the pool or at the beach so near The evenings spent at Nico’s bar with family and friends, all so dear The times had walking, talking and on the bus With a girls outing to Cuitadella, oh no fuss Occasional lunches had at Es Pins And the evenings spent at Nico’s bar with family and friends What was that paddle boarding we say Diane Doe and the sun shone in Menorca that day All the kids grew up together to be a fine bunch And sometimes went off together for brunch The evenings spent at Nico’s bar with family and friends And so the poem nearly ends So lets all remember her in our own way Diane Doe and the sun shone in Menorca that day Mark, Sandra and Family…

It is my absolute pleasure to have known Diane for 14 years.  We worked closely together for the majority of that time and she was the most wonderfully kind and caring person.  She always had time for me, be it work related or personal.   To all her family, you were so blessed and you have my deepest, heartfelt sympathy….

My beloved Diane, I have been fortunate enough to call you my friend for many years both during my time at HSBC and beyond. You were one of the nicest people I know and I will treasure the memories I have of you, the talks we had, and the afternoon teas we shared. I am finding it hard to believe that you are not with us anymore and I will miss you so much as will so many others whose lives you have touched I extend my deepest sympathies to Adrian, Martyn and Chris who have lost such an amazing and beautiful soul. Rest in peace my darling friend….

Thinking of Diane’s family at this most difficult time.  What an amazing and beautiful spirit that we’ve lost, taken way, way too soon. Deepest condolences to Adrian and the boys.  We trust that she is at peace now….

I first interacted with Diane when I moved into my new role at the beginning of lockdown in 2020. Ever since, I had many virtual interactions with her but mostly remotely and with every interaction I was amazed to observe her kindness, warmth and considerate nature. When I visited London last November, I was so keen to meet her in person (on Day 1 of my visit) but alas I did not get any chance. There are very few people who leave such lasting impression on individuals even without having met in person – and she was one of them. Diane will remain in our hearts forever. My deepest condolences to Diane’s family as they pass through these difficult times….

My deepest condolences to Diane’s family in this difficult time. I had the rare privilege to interact with Diane on a close and regular basis, as she was sitting next to me when traded risk became part of her world. It was a great pleasure to have known Diane, as she always had the time to listen, showed genuine warmth and had a great sense of humour. I was hoping that after the lockdown when we all returned to our old places that we’d resume our acquaintances, but alas that was not to be. But at least I will have some very fond memories….

Diane, I will miss you. We met many years ago at HSBC and over the years you have unfailingly always had a smile, a kind word and made time to chat when we passed in the office. The office won’t be the same in your absence….

My deepest condolences to Diane’s family.  Although I didn’t work with Diane for long, I will remember the time with great fondness.  Diane was so kind and friendly, she would always make time for everyone no matter how busy she was and she will be sorely missed….
