chris was my coach for only 6 weeks but he has already taught me a lot. He was more than a coach for us who are far from our families. He was a great guy, always had a zest for life and a competitive spirit when the weekend games came around. He was always teasing me in training, with lots of jokes, and he gave us a smile when we didn’t have it. I will always have great memories of him and will never forget him. The team and I want to pay our last respects to him by winning the cup, which was the goal he set for us. Thanks for everything coach ❤️…

Chris, you will be missed by so many people for numerous different reasons. You were a friend and a colleague. So funny thinking back to me asking you to come and run a couple of sessions with the boys to you not letting go of that Scottish Cup on a very drunken after party ha! It was that guy that everybody just had to so much time for. The guy who had time for everyone else no matter what. Rest easy my friend, see you down the road 🖤🤍…

I had Chris as a Coach when I was at motherwell u13s I think he was one of the Coaches that really understood me as a person and as a player. I always remember after a game against celtic we’d just lost 8-1 he gatherd us all in a circle and had a talk with the team. I don’t really remember all of what he said but I remember him pointing at me and saying I was absolutely brilliant today and I should be proud of my personal performance and that I was one of the best players he’d seen at this age group. I always remember him saying that and how much confidence it gave me to continue to try become a footballer even when I maybe wasn’t the best player all the time. It’s always stuck with me and I never forgot Chris for it. He was one of those Coaches and people who had a truly positive impact on my career and life. I was very fortunate to have met Chris and I am so sorry for his family and friends and wish them all the very best. …

Chris was my manager at edu sport academy he always made us work but made the hard work n graft enjoyable. I have never been so happy to wake up at 7am to go to training ever. For the amount of time I knew him there was never a dull moment between us always challenging us to make ourselves better and always believing in each and every single one of us. He was such a great and genuine guy I miss him as a friend and a coach. RIP❤️…

Chris what a guy with his cheerfulness each day. All the time ready to help people who need. Thank you for every single things I could learn with you. I will never forget your smile and jokes sometimes borderline but that’s what we like with you. Keep smiling where you are I will keep this picture of you. My mate 🤝…

I first met Chris on the UEFA B Licence at Largs in 2015. We got on instantly, he was a funny, endearing man, always up for a laugh and always up for a chat. He was a great support during my A and Youth Licence courses. We shared many conversations on players, job opportunities, clubs and many other things which I’ll keep to myself 😂 I had spoken to him a couple of weeks ago about a Braves player and as ever we got talking about life and how we both were doing. Whenever we caught up, it felt like we’d picked straight up from where we left off. Chris will be sorely missed by many, I’m sure. He’s certainly not a man who I will ever forget. It was a privilege to have known him.  R.I.P My Friend 😢 …

Chris was more than just a football coach to me.  he was someone who you could talk to about any problem on your mind. Someone who made hard work enjoyable.  chris always had a positive perspective on any situation, no matter how bad it was. You could lose by a heafty score line and he would still help you focus on the positives and never dwell on the negatives.  chris was one of the only coaches I know who genuinely cared about the progression of his players individually aswell as collectively.  a fantastic coach. A fantastic mentor. A great personality that will always live on in our minds and most importantly someone who I can truly say I’m lucky to have met. …

Absolutely heartbroken to hear about Chris, he was such a lovely guy, such a gent. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris while we temped together at Glasgow Sheriff Court. We did the bare minimum but had such a laugh. He brough fun to a very boring job and got me through the day with our silly games and playing radio bingo. We should to laugh about his poor budgeting skills and his addiction to Costa coffee and getting ripped off for salad in the canteen! He always had time to listen and give advice as well. He was a good friend to me and he had so many interesting stories about his life- he achieved so much at such a young age and I know he must have had such a positive impact on so many people with his coaching work. Sending love and light to his close family and friends, rest in peace Chris ❤️ Rachael xxxx…

In the short time I knew Chris I recognised a man who was completely dedicated to the people he was working with and in getting the very best out of them in a football training environment.    His sense of humour and instantly likeable personality made him a joy to work with.  Chris will be missed by many, myself included.  …

An absolute gent.  Someone who always gave up his own time for other people’s worries and problems, something I personally got to benefit from. I would not have pursued my journey abroad without speaking with him for advice first. The words and inspiration he gave firmly sent me on my way to where I am now. I’ll always cherish that. I will never forget Friday night away trips to the middle of nowhere on that Mini bus. The laughs, the banter and the cliche Interviews you gave. An unreal personality that will be sorely missed and a friend I was extremely lucky to have. One of the good guys. Rest Easy Bud. 💚…
