Ill miss our interactions and debates. It was always insightful and interesting when we worked together. Love and best wishes to your close family and friends….

Andre was the first person I met at Astrazeneca when I joined. He greeted me at reception with a warm smile and told me my manager was going to be late as he walked me through the gates, got me a coffee and sat with me just chatting. He had other things to do, work that was waiting but he prioritised greeting a new colleague and making them feel welcome. As we talked I immediately knew the type of person he was. Intelligent, curious, compassionate. A true leader. I felt inspired and encouraged. He genuinely cared for his team, worked hard and was focused on helping others succeed. This time last year he walked to me in the office and knowing that I was the only one in my team based in Cambridge, invited me to join his team for their Christmas lunch and for a day I was one of them. As a person he had strong character, was compassionate, had a mischivous smile and was a good friend and mentor. The world is a better place because of him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.  Farewell, oh captain, my captain….

I am deeply saddened to hear of Andre’s unexpected passing. You and his entire family are in my thoughts and prayers, and I am sending you strength to help at this extremely difficult time. Andre was the epitome of a ‘gentle – man’ and I will always remember him for his quiet but extremely hard-working approach and his great sense of humour. He was a talented engineer, much admired and respected by all who came in contact with him. We all feel his loss – taken from us too soon. May he rest in peace and let perpetual light shine upon him….

I’m deeply saddened and shocked to hear the sad news about Andre passing away. He stood next to me a few weeks back in a conference where we had a nice conversation, his smiling face is still in my eyes and will remain with me as a beautiful last memory. In my very limited interaction with him, I found him to be helpful, smart and super polite. My heart goes out to his family in this unimaginably difficult time, my thoughts are with you and I would like to offer my sincere condolences. May his soul rest in peace!…

It has been great pleasure to work with Andre. I joined the team only back in 2020 but he always been very supportive, challenging, and ready to discuss new initiatives. It is sad that you are not with us anymore. You will be missed….

André was one of the good guys.  It doesn’t seem real. I worked closely with André on multiple projects since he joined the D&A team in 2018 and was a fantastic credit to himself, his team, and DataOps.  He built trust, respect, led by example, and was a such a compassionate and supportive person for his team.  I hugely respected him as a peer, but most importantly as a human being and as a friend. He always had a sense of humour (even when the going was tough at work) and was passionate about doing the right thing. I enjoyed our chats (weekly coffees in DaVinci were our thing) where we discussed the various challenges of work and family life, astronomy, and brewing beer! We only spoke a couple of weeks ago and were going to have a beer before Christmas, and perhaps plan a long weekend motorbike tour next year on our bikes! I will miss you, buddy, but cannot begin to imagine the loss for your family.  My heart goes out to them. Sleep well….

It was really shocking to hear this news, I know Andre Since 2019 and he was a great colleague to work with. He has been always proactive and passionate on his roles, positive in taking up discussions and follow-up actions over a topic and always enjoyed working with him in possible aspects. Last wednesday I had a catch-up with him in Chennai office and this wednesday, I’m writing this note :(- Life is so unpredicatable :'( May Andre’s soul rest in peace and I pray the almighty to give strength and courage to his family members….

I owe much to Andre for providing me with this opportunity with AZ. He was vibrant, optimistic, and inspirational. He was our Gandalf, our guiding light for us hobbits in Chennai. He had often talked fondly about his home. While in Chennai, he talked about his observatory/garden room. We also talked about cricket and how he stopped following cricket, which may be around Hansie Cronje’s (South African Captain) period. We also shared our common enthusiasm for Formula 1 in a brief chat. He wanted Lewis or Lando Norris to emerge to win pole positions in the upcoming events. AstraZeneca and all of us here would sorely miss him. I pray for his family to muster strength in this tough time. Like the shores of Chennai receiving constant waves, our memory of Andre will be forever in our hearts and minds….

It is shocking and was so saddened to hear the loss of Andre. Though I have not worked with him, I have heard great things about his leadership abilities and ability to push the team to new heights. In addition, the way he leads the team and helps each person choose the best professional path.He will be remembered, all of his excellent work. Rest in Peace Andre! I can’t imagine the pain that the family is going through. My most sincere condolences go out to the family. Please stay strong. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. …

Andre was a such a genuine guy to talk to. He said it how it was and it was a pleasure to get to know him. I still remember only a few weeks ago we saw each other in Eastbrook and were commenting on how each of us were getting older. I am shocked that I will not see him again and feeling very sad for his family. Take care, mate.   …

Very shocking to hear about this news. Andre has been an inspiration and his dedication and work ethic were something I learned working with him for 6 years, I am still not able to accept the fact that he is no longer with us. You will be missed in the IT community of AZ. My thoughts are with his family and friends and may his soul rest in peace….

I’m truly saddened to hear about the loss. He had a beacon of a smile and never missed an opportunity to share a warm greeting and engage in a meaningful conversation, be it about work or life… Deeply knowledgeable and could converse on any topic, work or otherwise. He was such a fun person to be around, genuinely passionate about work and had an infectious energy around him. My thoughts are with his family during this immensely difficult time, and I share in your sorrow….

It is both deeply shocking and saddening to know I cannot see Andre anymore. I am still unable to believe that a good friend, collegue and a LEADER is no more. You were a true leader, friendly and caring person. You will be missed by me and all your friends and collegues.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. May your soul rest in peace.    …
