Sending my thoughts to Adrian’s family. I worked with Adrian for a number of years, around ten years ago. He was always a friendly face, and it is nice reading the other lovely things that people have written about him. I have fun memories, like when he got into an in-depth budget conversation with me, whilst we were stood just in our towels in the changing rooms at Macclesfield, or the time when we visited an Irish bar the night before a 3 day leadership meeting, which rather limited our contributions the next day. Mainly I remember Adrian as a fantastic colleague, and a very nice, decent and open person, who was a pleasure to work with and know….

Sending love and thoughts to Adrian’s family from my own.  He touched our lives most when I was expecting my son Eddie.  At the time the pregnancy was expected to be non viable and Adrian was such an amazing man and manager supporting me and my family.  I will never forget what support he gave me. Gone too soon but memories will never fade xxx…

I still cannot believe Adrian has passed, such a devastating and cruel disease.  Sending my deepest condolences to his family.  I worked for Adrian on several projects, he was the person who convinced me to leave my contracting days and join the permanent workforce at AZ.  When I think of Adrian I smile as he always ensured our hard was recognised by having lots of fun.  The Concur fancy dress events in the office and in Didsbury are legendary.  I also think fondly of the opportunities he gave to his team, particularly when he asked me to present with him at Concur conferences in London and Chicago and I have included a picture of us in London.  He gave me confidence and showed great belief in me, and for that I will be eternally grateful.  RIP Adrian, you will never be forgotten….

Such very sad news and a result of a cruel disease.  Many condolences to his family at this time. I remember meeting Adrian for the first time on EERP, when he just joined AZ, working in the lovely Southbank portacabins in Alderley Park as part of the project team. And then much later, when he organised many AZ runners to ‘Run in the Dark’ over a number of years including the obligatory post run food and drinks – it was a great event and he will be much missed….

I will always remember Adrian for how personable and genuine he was to me when I moved to Cambridge from Glasgow. His peronal support to me as a young, fellow ‘guy with an accent’ in Cambridge, has stuck with me. Whether it be in the office in Cambridge, or the shuttle to Manchester, he always had time for me. Thank you Adrian for being the supportive leader that you were, and I hope to be able to maintain the light-hearted support you had for me, for the next generation coming through….

It is such sad news to hear of Adrian’s passing, my deepest condolences to his family. I worked with Adrian on several projects over the years, most recently on the Concur project where we built up a new team and had a lot of fun. I remember the Concur milestone meeting including the Xmas market in Manchester, and the end of project dinner celebration in London both organised by Adrian, he had a knack of combining work and fun, he was always positive and jolly and I enjoyed working with him. More recently I remember him always being in the front seat on the Manchester to Cambridge shuttle flight week in week out, and literally just making the plane with minutes to spare everytime for the return trip! Rest in peace Adrian….

It’s tough to accept that Adrian is no more with us. He was a great lead for EUIT and a great colleague to work with and have been an accommodating leader and was smart handling the large-scale changes Finance Transformation brought along with minimal disruption! I feel sad to think that the time I saw him in Alderley Park would be the last! Rest in peace and deep condolences to his family and friends!…

My deepest condolences to the family of Adrian Halpenny. I fondly remember meeting him in Chennai; though Concur project has long been completed, he still was very much involved in know how things are moving in Concur. He was keen to know about all the new members of the Concur team. Really glad to have had the opportunity to work with Adrian even if they were small issues, he always made you sure to appreciate you at the end of it. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet him once, but that meeting left a lasting impression in me. Rest in Peace, Adrian. — Raja Mohamed…
