Michaela was one of a kind. I have never met anyone like her. She had a lovely personality and professional qualities to look up to. Apparently fragile yet so strong. A compassionate human being relentlessly working hard to push boundaries and break barriers for those less fortunate and marginalized. I admired her refined sense for cross-cultural communication, her tactfulness and patience. Michaela was truly a world citizen. She will be greatly missed across the globe. I am one of the many who have learned a lot from her and whom she made a better person. Michaela will remain an inspiration for her generosity, great sense of humour and dedication.
