Such sad news. Margaret was wonderful company and her mischevous sense of humour would lighten the mood as the day drew to a close at the far end of the 5th floor of GMH. She was brilliant at providing evidence from the data for which she was responsible about what was happening on the railway. She made evidence based policy for the railway possible, setting the highest standards for data collection and analysis. And I will not forget, when working with Margaret in the period up to 2010, how proud she was of Nicole and learning from her about the care she was taking to prepare Nicole for the future.
