Jill was such a lovely person who brought joy to many. Whether it be our brief morning chats or interactions during meetings, she would ensure it was approched in a fun and caring way. When I first started GDS November 2023, I was told to report to Jill on my first day. However, a mix up of diaries and it falling on her NWD she was not there. In true Jill style she made a joke about her not being present but still went out of her way to make me feel welcome even though she wasnt there in person.
When I first saw she was a “Head” of department, naturally I was nervous and wanted to make a good impression, quite simply she was a breath of fresh air and not what I had previously encountered.
Regardless of the issue, Jill was always on hand to listen and put you at ease.
Jill was always so proud to talk about her daughters and grandkids and it showed what a great family they are.
We will miss you Jill, Thank you for everything.
