Dearest Alan. How lucky we have all been to have known you. Friend, colleague, loved one, therapist, teacher, student… you have been all these things to us and more. Always there with a kind word, a shining smile and a beautiful laugh; a day when you were in the room was always the best of days. You made me feel so very welcome when I joined N&R all those years ago, and I cherish every memory and every cheeky joke and every exchange we shared – even if your mission was to always try and get me a bit squiffy at work events!!! You are going to be sorely missed forever more, but how blessed we have all been to have had you in our lives. Thank you Alan for being you, you are gone much too soon. I shall celebrate your life every day xxx
