Antonella was one of our very first film students at ARU. And what a student she was. The brightest, liveliest spark going and a delight to have in the classroom. When I think of Antonella I think of her laugh, and the sparkle in her eyes, and her passion for film studies. We were so lucky that upon completing our BA, she then also taught on it for a time. As everyone who knew Antonella will attest to, she was a truly gifted, caring teacher. Later, it was such a delight for me when, as an external examiner, I was able to see Antonella in her element in Lincoln, where she was much adored by her students and colleagues. There were also some wonderful times at conferences where I was privileged to see her present her research on gender, ethnicity and stardom. Antonella – it is heart breaking that you are gone so soon, and I hope you knew how much we all loved you. xxxx
