My years at RSSB coincided with Martin’s, and it was a real privilege: he had great integrity and professionalism, applying and sharing his expertise and experience modestly and generously. I last saw him at an industry event in late 2019, and we had a long chat afterwards, not merely as former colleagues but as friends (our children are of similar ages). My thoughts and prayers are with his colleagues, friends, fellow cyclists, and especially with his wife and children. In their loss, may they know great comfort and true peace.
