Alan, what can I say! You certainly were a larger-than-life character, a true gentleman with a generous heart. You introduced me to so many colourful words that I’d never heard before and still use some (not all) to this day. Our banter across the offices at Silvertown made coming to work so much fun. We may not have seen as much of each other in recent years but the big hugs you gave me when we did, I will never forget.
