Lynne McKay

There was no fault Colin couldn’t fix, no challenge too big but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t have a wee moan about having to get stuck in lol His cheeky sense of humour and quick wit made really stressful customer scenarios so much easier. Colin just had a way of putting people at ease!

I was a Service Manager for 13 years for our Criminal Justice customers, each of whom adored Colin. When something went badly wrong, Colin was the man I had to call to ride to the rescue. As soon as I mentioned his name to the customer, they knew everything was going to be ok and that they were in safe hands. He saved my bacon on many an occasion!

There was never a time when Colin told a customer or a colleague no, he always wanted to help and hated the plaudits that came when he undoubtably saved the day. I nominated him internally for several awards for the amazing work he did over the years with customers and each and every time he hated the attention that it brought him. He just wanted to help and wasn’t interested in praise although he really deserved it.

I will miss Colin’s honest and blunt opinion of the fools that he didn’t suffer gladly and his cheeky sense of humour.
