Derek was a wonderful human being.
I was lucky to work for him for a period of time and even luckier I got to be Mentored by him; he gave amazing advice, great guidance and all the while making me laugh out loud. His sense of humour was well known.
He had such a positive aura about him that was welcome in our environment.
I send my heartfelt condolences to Esther, Beth and Fraser at this extremely difficult time for them, but I hope that they can take some comfort from how hugely respected, well regarded and impactful their beloved Husband and Dad is.
