I first met Betania in 2010 when I was a trainee in histopathology. She was exceptionally kind, generous with her time and always supportative. She was an excellent pathologist who took the time to share her experience and knowledge with me without making me feel silly for not knowing something. I always enjoyed reporting with her and never felt stressed if I didn’t know what the cases were. It was always a calm and educational experience. Even during her illness she remained dedicated to her patients and colleagues. I am very saddened by her passing. She made our department better and I will be forever grateful for her kindness.
